Cocoavino: an Education in Organic Chocolate

WP Greet Box icon
Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic.

Do you know someone who hasn’t discovered organic cocoa?

Where cocoa is grown without using organic production techniques, the beans can be awash with herbicides and pesticides. Not only do these wreak havoc with the environment, they addle the flavor as well. Organic cocoa is the ethical option…and it’s the gourmet option too.

If you want to introduce someone to how chocolate really should be, here’s a way to do it.

Start by serving up a cup of strong, dark hyggelig. Made by Cocoavino, and pronounced hoo-ge-lee (Danish for cozy), it’s made from rich, dark organic chocolate that’s delicately spiked with cardamom. (Plus, it’s 100% fair trade and suitable for vegans.) Let your companion take a few sips.

Now scrape them off the floor and offer them a selection of Cocoavino’s Drunken Figs and Bonbons – favourites of the Washington Post and The Today Show, amongst others. Watch their eyes go crossed with sheer pleasure as they bite in.

They’ll have got the message by now.

But it would be wrong for you to subject them to this programme of educational luxury without testing it out on yourself first. So when’s your next “Me” day?

Have a thing for chocolate? So do I, my friend, so do I.
