Traffic-Stopping Lighting

Red, yellow, green ““ we learn our traffic signals from a very young age, but I’m guessing you’ve never given much thought to what happens to the millions of lights themselves as they get replaced or dismantled (I know I haven’t). As it turns out, most end up in landfills.
The design geniuses at San Francisco-based Greenlight Concepts decided to give them an afterlife, recycling used glass traffic lights into very modern lamps and lighting fixtures with a retro flair. Suitably named “Stoplights,” the line ranges from $90 to $299. Now you’ll just have to decide if you want your glow to say stop, go, or caution.
