A Paper Kitchen
You need only to read a few of my previous posts (here, here, here) to learn of my fascination with the eco kitchen. Lest you start thinking that I actually cook, let me set the record straight. While I appreciate a well-designed kitchen, and I am whole-heartedly green, I do not use them or even enter them. I much prefer to covet them from afar. (Trust me, you wouldn’t want it any other way.)
Having said that, I’ve found yet another fantastically cutting edge kitchen collection, this one from Bazzeo, a leader in sustainable kitchen manufacturing in the U.S. The PaperStone Kitchen has doors, drawers, panels and counter tops produced from a composite material of 100% post-consumer recycled paper mixed with non-toxic, petroleum-free resin (made from crushed cashew shells). This innovative material is available in an array of colors including Gunmetal Grey, Indigo Blue and, of course, Grass Green, offering clients flexibility and freedom.
Bazzeo has long been committed to going green without sacrificing design or style. All the kitchens and products are created using non-toxic paints, laminates, glass and aluminum, as well as recycled and reclaimed wood from certified green resources. The company is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has a “Zero Waste” policy – nothing goes to the landfill; everything is reconstituted or recycled into new materials.
