Things Not to Tell the Joneses #65: Our Table Is a Bowling Alley

Bowling alleys - you have to love them. Yes, I'm a guy, I would say that - but I'm talking about the material they're made of, not the sport. (Watching guys lose all control of their sense of modesty, self restraint and dignity while wearing striped polyester probably isn't most women's idea of a great time.)

Bowling alley wood, unlike the men atop it, is gorgeous. What a shame it's there to receive a battering! Counterevolution NYC feel the same way. They make furniture from recycled bowling alleys - a canny and very eco-friendly move at a time when alley wood is being replaced by modern synthetic materials. It's handcrafted and polished until it glows, so you have a stunning piece of Americana right in your home - sure to impress even those Joneses.

Is it durable? Did you really just ask that?
