Spring is right around the corner, which means wedding season will soon be in full bloom. Even though I’ve been married for five years I can’t help but notice that the new bridal buzz has changed from "destination" wedding to "eco-friendly" wedding. 

Luckily there are countless ways to be conscientious about the environment on your big day; besides, every bride is looking for ideas to make her wedding stand out uniquely from all the rest.  So how about foregoing the traditional boutonniere or corsage for something more permanent? 

Of course, you can buy organic, locally-grown flowers, but after hours of dancing they will be mangled and wilted on Mr. Right’s lapel. Instead, hitch him with a keepsake to remember your commitment to each other and to the planet for years to come.
