Sunny Days Ahead: Spring's Easiest Dress

Dresses reigned supreme on the runways for spring 2008, and with good reason. I love having one garment that I can slip on and be able to easily navigate a variety of looks with a simple change of shoes, jewelry or bag.

Along with gentle pastels and soft grays, citrus bright colors in both solids and prints are bringing a fresh feel to fashion. Best of all, these looks are showing up in fabrics like organic cotton and bamboo jersey - all wonderful materials that are environmentally-friendly and healthy for both you and the textile employees producing them.

The Versailles Dress by eco-designer Anna Cohen is inspired by the days of Marie Antoinette and her Sun King. The wrist-skimming sleeves and scoop neck are completely wearable for modern times, and the slightly cinched waist allows for comfort. The dress is quite versatile - I think it would look very feminine worn over a pair of cuffed, slim jeans with comfortable ballet flats to finish the ensemble.
