Unzip Your Um

Josh Jakus has designed a pressed wool felt tote on the principles of practicality, pleasure and apparently - suprise! The Um tote unzips so you can clean its 100% factory-excess wool when use has made it a little dingy.

This Houdini-like handbag morphs in one fell zip from flat to full, its sleek style fitting perfectly just below the elbow. It comes in one color - a beautiful grey - because it is always made from the same source of felt that would otherwise be discarded.

This rescued felt undergoes quite the transformation into these exquisite bags, hand-cut and sewn in the Bay area. Definitely a conversation piece for those of us who like to wear our design-fetish on our sleeve! ($115.)
