If you know anything about the history of the auto industry is one that in which they sabotaged nascent mass transit systems that began to spring up in cities across the US in the early 20th century.as well as successfully lobbying the US
government in diverting resources away from mass transit towards the system of transportation that is the super highway infrastructure we have today.

The auto industry as it once was, at one time the very symbol of American manufacturing is nothing but a shadow itself, an anachronism best summed up at how dated the phrase about the industry seems today; What's good for GM (General Motors) is good for America and visa versa.

The auto industry gets its long awaited comeuppance, it would seem, for having plundered the Earth, raiding its resources so extravagantly.
