It's My Party and I'll Pingg if I Want to!

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic.

Who could have imagined a time when sending your wedding invitation via email would not only be acceptable but encouraged? Certainly your grandmother wouldn’t allow it, and most likely your mother would throw up her hands in protest.

Not if she took a look at pingg, the stylish, personalized, ad free, totally comprehensive online invitation solution.

Yes, online invitations (think evite) have been around for some time now – they’re convenient and easy; they save time, stamps and paper. But the ones I’ve seen and used are generic, full of banner ads and dare I say…cheesy. Not for my someday, maybe wedding, thank you very much.

Pingg is different. I know, that’s what they all say, but I’m “particular” and can be a sort of snob when it comes to bond paper and embossing. Now that I’ve turned the sustainable corner into a sort of eco-snob, Pingg is exactly what the “Smythson of Bond Street” woman in me has been hoping for.

The website is user-friendly with tons of images organized by event or theme. Choose a design from the pingg gallery, designer series, pingg Plus+ or design and upload your own.

By far the most convenient features are surroundSendâ„¢ and event management. After your invitation is delivered via email, text, social network, a custom event webpage or “snail mail” (or all of the above), Pingg manages all aspects of your party from RSVPs to gift registry to photo sharing.

Once you have Pingg overseeing the invite and logistics, you can hire someone to organize the other details like food, decorations, flowers and clean-up. It’s your party – go ahead and Pingg if you want to.

Thanks, Kim. What I like about this is that it is another example of a simple, fun lifestyle change you can make that is inherently green without being identified/marketed as green. It just is! :)

I was a little dubious when you first mentioned it, but they do have some beautiful invitations and I plan on using them in the future.

    Thanks for mentioning them.
