Oh, the Places I Will Plunk!
Nobody does stools like VivaTerra. I didn’t even know I had a thing for stools until recently, but as I’ve learned, I do. I’m really trying to limit myself to one, but it’s hard. Just check out the selection (fortunately, all are 100% handmade and eco-friendly):
The brilliant Wave stool I’m in love with…could it fit one’s booty any better?
The on-trend Hammered Drum stool. You know, stools are really useful. You can move them around. Stand on them. Sit on them. They’re just so satisfying!
The rustic chic Timber block stool that would look perfect in my future loft.
The iconic Twisty stool I nearly went for…
Check out the whole range here.
After lusting over each of them in my Wishlist folder for months (come on, I know you have a secret stash of links), I finally settled on the Wave stool. It serves as the perfect place for all those New Yorkers I haven’t read. It’s also my morning coffee spot, where I watch the ships pass through the Golden Gate and contemplate crucial matters like why on earth I ever bought mirrored night stands.
More importantly, the Wave is the just-right throne for the queen of the household – I’m talking about the cat, obviously. Roo loves to hop up and watch the birds or growl at the orange cat who has the audacity to hang out in the front yard on warm afternoons, completely oblivious to her.
It’s one of my favorite purchases ever – handmade, thoughtfully conceived, modern. And while not IKEA-cheap at $249, that’s kind of the point. It’s a justifiable price for something beautiful and ethical that I’ll enjoy for a very long time.
Just a note: VivaTerra is an EcoSalon sponsor. Also, I snapped the images on my Blackberry, so apologies for the bare bones photography!

I seriously fantasize about the Twisty Stool. Like, unhealthily.

I splurged on a tall twisty and I must say – I use it all the time! it’s light and easy to move around. most of the time it’s holding a drink or book, sitting by a chair – but it often gets pulled out for an extra seat…
