Our Love Is Sustainable
Dear Valentine,
This year I won’t be filling your mailbox with a flimsy, generic "Be Mine, Valentine" card. I want to prove to you that my love is strong – so strong, in fact, that only fire could destroy it. That’s why I am sending you this wooden Valentine card made from sustainably-harvested yellow birch.
It has been said that strips of birch bark have been used in love potions, and twigs of birch were once placed above a lover’s door on May Day to promote fertility. Good thing we’re married, Valentine, or I might scare you away!
