Rag & Bone Revealed

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic.

Rugged. Raw. Savage. These were the words that came to mind when I first discovered Rag & Bone. The brand sounded like something horrifying you’d find if you took a wrong turn into a biker bar or seedy tattoo parlor. My natural curiosity led me to do my homework safely online (where said scary biker chick couldn’t hurt me). What I learned explains my newfound love for the design team.

The Rag & Bone name is derived from a century-old British fixture and the first form of recycling. The rag and bone man would travel by horse and cart in search of scrap metal, old furniture, wood or anything else that he could sell or reuse. This philosophy guided partners Marcus Wainwright and David Neville in the creation of the company. Their principles center around high quality fabric, classic construction, and perfect fit with a handmade feel. All of their manufacturing takes place in U.S. factories that still sew clothes the same way they did 50 years ago.

Their preservation of old-world methods and an eye for modern design equal a sharp, wearable collection for the eco-chic woman.
