Reader Poll: Rustic or Rubbish?

WP Greet Box icon
Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic.

To escape summer’s heat, you’ve been spending more weekend afternoons lounging out on your veranda with a glass of iced tea and a good book. So we have to ask: would you make the most of these relaxing moments with this ultra-rustic Aspen chair?

Natural charm. Perfect outdoor piece. Seamless in the garden. Or…not so much?

What do you think of the Aspen chair?

The look may not be sustainable, but at least the materials are. (Available at The Nest Store for $720.) – with reporting by Sara Ost

Nice find, Tina. I love it – but don’t think that it belongs in the open like that. It’s screams for a hedge or a wall behind it – so you can have a climbing plant wending its way through the branches. A growing chair (kinda) that looks different every year. That how I’d make the most.

Oooh yes, a growing chair! That’s a trend I most definitely like.

I think that chair is of the “nice to look at, but not sit it” nature. Has anyone put their heinie in it? Is it comfy?

I have to say, I’m not digging this one at all. I applaud the designer’s ingenuity, but it’s just not my style.

I don’t know whether it’s just not my style, but it doesn’t work for me.
