While I applaud their look and materials, they aren&#039;t very functional.  Pepper should always be accompanied by a grinding or milling mechanism, not preground and placed in a shaker.  Also, the holes look very small on the salt shaker so I imagine it doesn&#039;t accept many of the wonderful, healthier, salts currently available.  For salt I prefer serving it in a container where you can pinch and spread it with your fingers and using a mortar and pestle if the salt needs to be crushed.</description>
