Designers want to keep things light, airy and impregnated with hope this spring and there’s no better symbol than flower power.

Flower prints, fabrics rolled into fluffy flowers and even 3D petals burgeoning across pale shoulders are a sight to behold and embrace as we merge into spring.

One designer I’ve followed for years has perfected this trend and brings it to us in one-of-a-kind pieces that everyone from celebrities to beach bums have been sporting for years.

Nantucket designer Cheryl Fudge’s upcycled and re-fabricated clothing and accessories give Shakespearian meaning to that which we call a rose creating dresses, jackets and tops for women and children with vintage silk scarf flowers worked in the most interesting ways.

For those of us trying to keep their composure for bouts of cabin fever, the power of the flower is strong, leading us by the nose out of doors where the world is one never-ending garden of Eden and where ethical petals blanket us.

Oh, winter be gone.
