The Little Seed
While waiting in line at Whole Foods recently I broke down and bought Us Weekly. After I got past the latest starlet arrest and whether or not Jessica Simpson was responsible for the fate of football, I was pleasantly surprised to find some green information.
The actress Soleil Moon Frye (forever known to me as Punky Brewster) has opened an eco-friendly baby boutique in Los Angeles called The Little Seed. Soleil and her two co-founders, Paige Goldberg Tolmach and Beth Birkett, have created a one-stop shop to green your little bean from the very first days of its life.
Loaded with adorable, non-toxic, organic products made from sustainable materials such as organic cotton, hemp and water-based dyes, The Little Seed provides a place for parents to shop for stylish eco-friendly products they know will be safe for their little one.
I fell in love with their selection of wooden toys by Holztiger. Made from maple wood with soft rounded edges and non-toxic water based paints which is a plus since the first place they will end up is in a babies mouth no doubt. I don’t live in Los Angeles so I was happy to see they have an online store available as well.
