Three's Company: Jackson, Johnston & Roe
Childhood friends Sara Moffat, Teo Griscom, and Riley Salyards “¨banded together for a common cause – to create wearable clothing, labeled after their mothers’ maiden names, that is both timeless and of the time. Drawing on different strengths (art, theater, and painting), the three have designed a collection that is also natural and sustainable.
The designers use organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, linen and "peace silk" (a process where worms are not harmed and the silk is dyed with immune-enhancing indigo dye). Buttons are made from recycled paper, wood, and the renewable Brazilian nut Corozo. All production takes place locally in NYC, where they are constantly working to make their line as environmentally responsible as possible.
