Waste Me Not
Valentine’s Day cards and chocolates make me think of one thing, and it isn’t love. All the paper and plastic wrap and commercialized waste! I prefer not to participate in it, and now I don’t have to.
Instead, there’s this precious, eco-friendly and handmade gift made of twigs, delicately tied together and shaped into a heart – sans red or any mushy Hallmark-y cliches. I got one for myself because if I can’t be my own valentine, then who can? And I’m also sending one to my best friend, coffee partner, “which jeans should I wear?” comrade who just moved out of town. I miss her terribly! Don’t you think it says it all?
