DIY Shampoo Recipe

I’m a hopeless DIYer. If there’s a way I can make something myself, I’m bound to try it. My latest favorite has been making my own shampoo. I was at the health food store expressing my frustration about how I have such a hard time finding the right shampoo for my hair when a clerk gave me this simple recipe.

The basic ingredients are:

- 3/4 cup of Castille soap (Dr. Bronner's works great).

- 1 cup of strong rosemary tea (or 1 cup of water and 10 drops of rosemary essential oil).

Really. That's it. If you use rosemary tea, the mix will stay fresh for about two weeks (longer if you keep it in the fridge).

Rosemary, along with green tea, has been used for centuries by Asian women to achieve shiny hair. I can vouch for that - my hair is shinier than ever. This shampoo is also known to stimulate hair growth, heal dandruff and add an aromatherapy touch.
