Feel Your Feet

“Feel your feet.” Those were the wise words of one of my favorite teachers. He would always tell us that no matter what’s going on around you it’s important to stay grounded, centered, and feel your feet.

By literally feeling your feet as they touch the ground, you have a sense of being supported, confident and well taken care of. You know that the earth is always right here and no matter what happens, you’re not going to go hurtling off into space (which is what it sometimes feels like if you go into your head too much!). By feeling what’s under your feet, you become grounded in the present moment.

Feel like hiking? Vibram’s Five Finger shoes help you do just that while maintaining your connection with the ground beneath your feet. With space to let your toes spread naturally, and a sturdy but sensitive sole, these shoes let you do your hiking and exploring practically barefoot. Once you’ve had a natural foot massage from the contours of the earth, you’ll never want to strap on heavy hiking boots again.

Be sensitive to your surroundings – feel your feet.
