"I'll Have the Fluorescent Pink Drink, Please."

rose in wine glass
I’m usually dragged into bars kicking and screaming because I don’t like to drink. Sure I’ll have an occasional glass of wine, or maybe a fruity cocktail, but alcohol makes me feel sick and a little slushy. Some people are able to enjoy alcohol, but for me it’s just not fun.

When our local lounge began to offer organic vodka infusions, I suggested to the owner (a friendly guy) that he stock up on kombucha too. And the next time we stopped in, he had them! So while my husband enjoyed his favorite organic wine, I was able to sip at a very elegant wineglass of GT’s Trilogy kombucha – fluorescent pink mushroom tea.

I felt like there was finally a place for me in the bar scene. No longer relegated to sipping water all night, I too had a drink that would give me a kick and mildly alter my reality.Kombucha does that to me, after all; it’s energizing and certainly packs a buzz. Kombucha being offered in bars is a positive sign - as if the world lounge is evolving, and now there’s a place for all of us.
