Walking Meditation

Meditation is an important way to slow down and focus the mind through stillness and awareness, but honestly, it's not easy to find the time.Walking meditation is a way to practice mindfulness and awareness while on the go. If you take walks as part of your exercise program, you can add a meditative aspect by simply focusing on your steps. For example, every time you place your left foot on the ground, chant the word "peace" or use mantra of choice inside your head. Place your tongue to the roof of your mouth to connect your body's energy circuit. If you lose your concentration and your mind starts to wander, don't worry, just bring your focus back to your left foot and your mantra. This is an incredibly simple way to bring awareness and focus to the mind while in movement. Image: mad paul
